If you have spent sleepless nights worrying that if something should ever happen to you what would become of your precious fur family, give this a consideration: Consider writing up in your will or legal document, bequeathing your cats to Caboodle Ranch or another trusted animal sanctuary. We have had several people put Caboodle Ranch in their will to ‘inherit’ their kitties and to know that they have a safe place to live out the rest of their lives.
The best way to go about putting something like this together, is to first, confide in a trusted family member or friend to carry out your wishes should you become ill and can no longer care for your cats, or if you should pass a way. Then seek out legal council to put your wishes on paper and make it official. Your lawyer will also make sure your wishes are carried out. It is helpful of course to include a monetary donation with your cats for their food and care, but is not mandatory. We want to give you peace of mind knowing your babies will be cared for, and that, is priceless.
More than likely most of us will outlive our fur family, but we never know what events life will bring us, at any age, and making sure that your cat or cats will be taken in and loved and cared for is a tremendous relief and can set your mind at ease.
